Press Releases Goodyear Introduces Excellence Tire for High-Performance Cars Leading tire manufacturer Goodyear recently introduced its latest high performance tire, Goodyear Excellence, to fit the distinctive needs of modern, high performance cars. The new Goodyear Excellence has been engineered in partnership with the world's leading car manufacturers to deliver outstanding performance for a safe, comfortable, and quiet ride for distinct luxury passenger cars like BMW, Volvo, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Goodyear found that the three most important factors of modern driving that people expect from their tires are safety, comfort, and performance. That's why the revolutionary Goodyear Excellence incorporates all of these three technologies in a single tire. It offers the safest possible drive, with superb performance in handling, and an exceptional feeling of comfort. This was all made possible with the superior 3-Zone Technology that combines specially designed Security Zone, Handling Zone and Comfort Zone. Each functional zone ensures confident driving on wet pavement, ease in sharp cornering and comfort on bumpy roads. Security Zone The Goodyear Excellence tire's Security Zone features exclusive asymmetric tread design elements, which effectively push water away from the tread surface for secure wet braking and good handling especially in critical situations where surfaces are slick. Handling Zone The Handling Zone is consists of solid and rigid outside shoulder tread blocks, which provides the vehicle a more prompt and positive steering response even in abrupt swerving and braking situations. Its casing structure is also engineered with a progressive spiral overlay under the tread - with a double layer under the shoulders, which maintains an even pressure on the road. Comfort Zone The Goodyear Excellence tire's Comfort Zone is located in the inner tread rubber cushion. It's a cushioned layer between many tire layers functioning as an extra buffer. Additionally, the thin cushion layer between the tread rubber and the steel wire belt not only reduces vibrations and improves comfort, but also effectively reduces tire noise. Morin also said the introduction of the Goodyear Excellence tire shows that the company understands the demands of modern motorists and their sophisticated cars. This forms part of Goodyear's commitment in meeting specific requirements in the field of automotive design. Goodyear Excellence is initially available in three sizes: 195/65 R15 (fits Honda Accord, Mitsubishi Adventure, Toyota Crown, Mazda 3, Ford Focus, Volvo 850 and Toyota Revo); 205/55 R16 (fits Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and Honda Civic 2006); and 205/65 R15 (fits Toyota Camry, Nissan Cefiro, Nissan Serena QR-V, Toyota Innova, Isuzu Crosswind and Tamaraw Revo). The Goodyear Excellence tire also comes with the Confidence Warranty, or tire protection for up to four years, the longest on the road today.
